It has been 195 days since the Lloydminster Bobcats 2016-17 season came to an end. Tonight, they get to start anew.
The Bobcats will begin their regular season with their Home-Opener tonight at the Centennial Civic Centre.
Lloydminster will play host to the Bonnyville Pontiacs in the first half of a two-day home and home series.
During the pre-season the Bobcats and Pontiacs met four times with Lloydminster coming out on top in three of those contests.
Last season the Bobcats had their struggles with their rivals from the north-west, finishing with a head to head record of 1-5.
Prior to puck drop for tonight's game, there will be plenty of pre-game festivities going on at the Civic. 1-Up Gaming will arrive at the rink at 4:00pm with copies of NHL 18 (just released today) to be played, The Tent Guys will have a bouncy house set up, and burgers and pop will be available beginning at 4:30pm for a minimum $2 donation.
