Alumni Monday – Curtis Johnson

Coming to Lloydminster during the 2004-05 season, Curtis Johnson first played Jr. A in the Border City as a member of the Blazers.

Right after that, it was a major overhaul for the organization as the Blazers became the Bobcats, with a full identity change from ownership right down to the team's colours. Johnson was a part of the first two Bobcats teams before finishing his junior career after the 2006-07 season.

Although he was born in Calgary and began his junior career in Brooks, Johnson elected to remain in his new home after finishing with the Bobcats as he began his post-hockey career as a fitness trainer.

Johnson became involved in hockey at all levels in Lloydminster, and is now the operator of CuJo Conditioning. In addition, he has continued to get more and more involved in coaching, as he will step in as Head Coach of the Bantam AAA hockey program this season.

“CuJo” joined the Lloyd FM broadcast back on October 18th to discuss the path that brought him to town.
