The pink cats are back!
Next Saturday, February 23rd, Bobcats will be once again donning a special edition pink jersey for their second last home game of the regular season against the Bonnyville Pontiacs.

The player jerseys, which will each be raffled off to fans during the second intermission and autographed at the end of the game, are intended to raise awareness for Anti-Bullying Pink Shirt Day – a national anti-bullying campaign set to take place on Wednesday, February 27th, 2013.
Bobcats’ Business Manager Malcolm Radke says, “Last year’s Pink Jersey Night event was a huge success. It's a natural fit for us because the kids in this community already look up to our hockey players; they idolize the Bobcats as their heroes. This campaign sets a good example for the youth of this community. We saw the fans and players truly get on board with this program, and local businesses stepped up to sponsor each player’s jersey. We’re excited to be part of the action once again this year.”
With the help of the Bobcats, the Lloydminster & District Co-op is once again spearheading this campaign at a local level. For the third year running, Bobcats souvenir supplier Focused Screen Printing is producing the pink products designed to help spread the message of anti-bullying throughout Lloydminster and area schools and businesses.
Lloydminster and area schools and businesses will once again be covered in a splash of pink, as bright pink t-shirts, hoodies, pins, and even iPhone cases will be available for purchase by school kids, teachers, and business people. This year the Lloydminster Public School Division (LPSD), Lloydminster Catholic School Division (LCSD) and Buffalo Trail School Division (BTSD) will participate in the Anti-Bullying Pink Shirt day.
An array of Anti-Bullying products are available from Focused Screen Printing, and are emblazoned with the message of “Anti-Bullying”, and showcase the logo “Bullying Stops Here!” T-shirts are available for $7, and new for 2013: hoodies for $20, and iPhone cases for $10.00. A portion of each product sold will be donated right back to Beyond Borders-Circle of Change, a local group that focuses on promotes self-awareness, acceptance, tolerance, and leadership, through various programs, workshops, and “Challenge Days” throughout the year.
