Bob The Cat Makes His Way Through Lloydminster Schools

The Lloydminster Bobcats mascot “Bob the Cat” has been extremely busy over the last few weeks. In a partnership with the Lloydminster Teachers Association (LTA) and M&M Meats Shop, the Bobcats created a book desgined for students with a Grade 1 level reading comprehension. Bob the Cat and Bobcat players made visits to each elementry school in Lloydminster, encouraging Kindergarden, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students on the importance of reading through Bob the Cat's book.Every Grade 1 student in Lloydminster was given a copy of the book to keep!

The story tells students who Bob the Cat is and expains how Bob the Cat would like to see them at the games cheering and dancing with him as they root on their Lloydminster Bobcats!

The book was created by Think Creative Media Inc. a publishing and education company that has done similar work with National Hockey League teams such as the Calgary Flames and Columbus Blue Jackets.

Anyone wanting a copy of the book can head to M&M Meat Shops (3106 50 Ave.), where they are available for free to any customer spending more than $50
