The Lloydminster Bobcats have acquired ’96 forward Eric Benshadle from the Chilliwack Chiefs of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) in exchange for ’95 forward Taylor Allan.
Playing in his first season in the BCHL, Benshadle has scored three goals to go with 13 assists for 16 points in 33 games played. Prior to joining the Chiefs, the 5’11”, 180 lb forward spent last season with both The Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, Connecticut, and with the Connecticut U18 Wolf Pack. At The Loomis Chaffee School, the Getzville, NY native registered 12 goals and 22 assists for 34 points in 26 games of high school hockey. With the Wolf Pack, Benshadle delivered seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points in 31 games competing in the U18 division of the East Coast Elite League.
Allan was in his second season with the Bobcats, after being acquired from the Prince George Spruce Kings (BCHL) in a December 2014 trade. This season, Allan is one of two Bobcats to have appeared in all 39 games, accumulating 14 goals and 15 assists for 29 points.
The Bobcats would like to thank Taylor and his family for their commitment and many contributions to the organization over the past year, and wish him all the best in his future.
