Bobcats add Carper

Lloydminster, AB – Bobcats continue to announce off season additions to the roster preparing for the 2019-20 year with the addition of 2001 born player Sam Carper.  Carper becomes the second American to be added to the Bobcats joining Tanner Mack of East Grand Forks, Minnesota. Carper fits into the new model being implemented for a successful team on the ice and in the community of Lloydminster.  He has played the last five seasons in the Ohio Blue Jackets elite stream finishing this year with the Major Midget team with 15 points, 11 goals and 41 penalty minutes this year where he was also relied on for a leadership role. “Sam is a 200-foot player, he is very reliable and brings a physical presence creating space for players around him. Everything he does is hard, whether being dynamic on his feet or hard to knock off pucks, he is also going to be hard to play against down low” explained Dube. “The 5’9” 175-pound right winger plays bigger then what the program may read.  Sam has been coached and developed by Ed Gingher who is respected for how he prepares his players for the next level. The Carper family also shares our core values as an organization. We are welcoming a player whose family values align with the Bobcats’ values, dedicated and committed to hard work on and off the ice,” finished Dube. The Bobcats will continue to put pieces in play moving forward in preparation for camp opening up in August.
