Bobcats Add to Front Office Staff

The Lloydminster Bobcats are excited to announce the hiring of Kat Poppel as the team’s new Marketing Administrator.

Poppel’s focus will be on the marketing and promotion of the Lloydminster Bobcats in the areas of sponsorship sales and servicing, community relations, team events, and game night activations and promotions.

“Kat has a very positive energy and expressed a great deal of excitement towards becoming a part of the team right from the first meeting,” said Business Manager Trevor Redden. “Having spent the last ten years building relationships and serving as a prominent member of the community with Wayne FM and Key 83 in Wainwright, we see a great fit for what we’re trying to do here.”

Poppel comes to the Bobcats after spending the last ten years in Wainwright, Alberta, working as Music Director, On-Air Host, and Promotions and Marketing Director for Key 83 and 93.7 Wayne FM with Newcap Radio. In addition to her working experience, Poppel has had a variety of volunteer interests in Wainwright including her role as Director of the Wainwright Children’s Centre Board, as well as volunteer positions with the Wainwright Curling Centre and the Canadian Cancer Society.

“I’m very excited to be joining the Lloydminster Bobcats organization. I hope to bring the over 10 years of radio experience I have to this new position and be a part of growing the Bobcats both on and off the ice,” said Poppel. “I’m excited to now call Lloydminster home and can’t wait to get out in the community representing the Bobcats!”
