The Lloydminster Bobcats want to give back to the community that supports us day in and day out!
We have two games this weekend, Saturday at 7:30 vs the Calgary Canucks and Sunday at 2:30 vs the Drumheller Dragons.
Saturday night is our annual Teddy Bear Toss, but we want to make it even bigger!
So not only can you throw your teddy bears on the ice when we score our first goal of the night, we will also be accepting donations in the lobby, where 100% of the money will be spent on purchasing pre-packaged food bags that will be donated to those in need this Christmas season. Plus, we’ll be taking donations for kids, such as gently used or new running shoes, winter boots and winter gear like mitts and toques, toiletry items and other essentials items not everyone has access to. Flower Affairs will be on hand on Saturday night to sell Teddy Bears in case you forget to bring one. All the bears will be donated to Stingray’s Gift of Christmas!
We have teamed up with the Lloydminster Coop to help us with the food bags and Boundary Ford has graciously donated a couple vehicles that we hope to pack with donations!
We will continue to take donations during Sunday’s game as well. And don’t forget there’s a skate with the Bobcats immediately following the game on Sunday and Santa will make a special appearance!
