Bobcats Build Habitat for Humanity

On Tuesday, Dec. 18th and Wednesday, Dec. 19th from 8:00am-12:00pm, the Lloydminster Jr. A Bobcats team participated in two team build days – weather permitting – at Forester Place, 4709 43rd St., Lloydminster.  This Habitat for Humanity initiative will be the first this year for the Jr. A Bobcats.

We are excited to have the Bobcats team involved with the Forester Place Project and we’re looking forward to building on this partnership in the future.  Significant progress is being made on the seven-unit townhouse complex and the team will be kept busy with building the basement foundation.

Malcolm Radke, Business Manager for the Jr. ‘A’ Bobcats Hockey Assoc, stated, “Habitat for Humanity plays an important role in the Lloydminster community.  Many families who benefit from their services in Lloydminster are huge Bobcat supporters, so there was a natural tie-in for us to get involved in some form.  We are always happy to give back to our loyal fans in any form, especially during the Christmas season.

The Bobcats partner with roughly 15-20 non-profit organizations every year in a variety of forms.  As a community-owned organization, it is an important mandate to support those who support them.
