Lloydminster, AB ? The Lloydminster Bobcats continue to retool the roster before main camp opens in the later part of August by locking up Calgary native Cole Svenson. Svenson will come up to the Bobcats after putting together a successful offensive season with the Calgary Royals; he will be joining fellow teammate Alex Danis on the club?s group of forwards. This season Svenson lit the lamp 15 times in 34 games and totaled 26 points and 32 penalty minutes.
Bobcats Director of Player Personnel spent many days in the rink watching Cole and said, ?Cole is a hard-nosed player who does a lot of the little things right on both the offensive and defensive side of the game. He is willing to go to those tough areas, battle for pucks, and contribute offensively.? Aside from Svenson?s play on the ice he is known for his character and hard work in the off season with Gilbert adding ?we are thrilled that Cole chose Lloydminster and we feel he consistently demonstrates the four foundational pillars of the Bobcats.?
We would like to welcome the Svenson family to the Bobcats organization. Get your son or daughter signed up for the Lloydminster Bobcats Hockey School and Summer Camp this August, Email admin@lloydminsterbobcats.com or call 780-871-0900 plus reserve your season tickets today!
