The Bobcats are pleased to announce that ’93 defenceman Grant Baker has been invited to the Team Canada West Evaluation Camp for the World Jr. ‘A’ Challenge.
The Calgary, Alberta native currently sits second in team scoring with 8 points through 14 games so far in the 2012-2013 season. “Grant has earned it all year both on and off the ice,” said Head Coach Ryan Parent, “his work ethic and leadership qualities make him a fine selection.” Since joining the Bobcats at the start of the 2011-2012 season, Baker has accumulated 8 goals and 10 assists for 18 points in 73 games played. “We are sincerely happy for Grant and wish him every success in making the squad,” commented Parent.
The World Junior A Challenge, which runs from Nov. 5 to 11, sees the best junior A players from Canada, along with teams from Sweden, Czech Republic, Finland, Russia and the United States compete in Yarmouth, N.S. for a gold medal.
