Lloydminster, AB ? The Lloydminster Bobcats organization wants to give back to the Border City during the COVID-19 pandemic which has hit the world hard in many different ways by hosting a Distancing Family Fun Run. 100% of the proceeds will go back into the community of Lloydminster. On Saturday, May 23rd the Run will take place wherever is safest for the participants who join together to raise money for the Lloydminster Health Region frontline workers and the local school division?s meal programs. The entry fee for the event is $10 an adult and $5 for a child; participant?s names will be entered in a draw for prizes from local businesses. Our goal is to join together to help programs in our community who need it during this time.
The distances for the event allow for everyone to be able to participate at the level you feel most comfortable with. Physical activity during these times is also very important for our mental and physical health so we encourage everyone to join. Options for the event include running, walking, or biking any number of 1, 5, and 10 Km?s with a forth option being ?Overtime? (10+Kms). As we are not able to join together we encourage you to keep your distance while accumulating the kilometers; this may include walking trails, bike paths, farm lanes or any area where we can keep our distance.
On May 23rd after you have actively finished your physical activity we ask you take a selfie or picture with your family and post it to our Facebook event. We will create an album and share everyone?s achievement while giving back to the foundation of our community.

We want to help out where we can; this will be a great opportunity to get out and be active in a safe manner while giving back to areas in our community where the need is more than ever right now? said Head Coach and General Manager Nigel Dube.
