Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats are thrilled to announce the signing of 2008 defenseman Dylan Deets from the Edge Academy. Deets, a native of Cold Lake, Alberta scored 8 times and added 19 assists for 27 points in 32 games, while adding 2 goals and 2 assists in 3 playoff games this season.
The mobile defenseman will add a multi dimension player to the Bobcats blue line this season, “Dylan is a player we watched throughout the year at the U17 level and really impressed our staff at our summer camp. Dylan brings a lot of creativity from the back end and does a really good job at moving pucks away from pressure and up the ice” commented Director of Player Personnel Andrew Gilbert. The 16-year-old defender will provide offense but has an elite ability to defend, “Dylan also does a nice job at keeping attacking players to the outside and takes away time and space by using his feet and stick. Dylan is a very exciting player with a high ceiling” added Gilbert.
