The Lloydminster Bobcats struck a deal with the Calgary Mustangs late last night.
The Bobcats announced they have sent forward Brady Barclay (98) to the Calgary Mustangs for future considerations.
Barclay, a Calgary native, was beginning his second season with the Bobcats, after posting 13 goals and 19 assists in 60 games for Lloydminster last season.
Through five games this year, Barclay had one assist.
Bobcats Head Coach and General Manager Travis Clayton wished Barclay nothing but the best moving forward.
“I want to thank Brady for all of the time and effort he dedicated to the Lloydminster Bobcats,” said Clayton. “He put up some solid numbers for us last season, and I think now with the opportunity to play in his own backyard, you’ll see him continue to be a very good forward in this league.”
The Barclay trade is the second deal made this week by the Bobcats, who acquired defenceman Ethan King from the Valley Jr. Hawks on Monday for defenceman Andrew McCann.
The Bobcats regular season schedule will resume on Thursday and Friday when they battle the Drumheller Dragons and Okotoks Oilers during the AJHL Showcase.
