Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats are excited to announce the signing of 2003 born forward Nik Hoogendoorn from the North Van Wolf Pack in the PIJHL for the 2021-22 season. Hoogendoorn, a Native from North Vancouver, British Columbia put up 1 goal and 4 assists in 5 games this season before it was paused, in the 2019-20 season Hoogendoorn scored 14 times and added 18 assists in 40 games while accumulating 48 penalty minutes with the Vancouver NW Hawks U18 AAA team.
The six-foot-one, hundred and ninety pound forward will add size to the Bobcats forward group for the 2021-22 season. Hoogendoorn size and offensive ability which continuously had him going to the hard areas of the ice caught the eyes of Bobcats staff. “Nik will add size and offense to our forward group, he’s a smart player with a high hockey IQ and is a tough player to go against every time he is on the ice. We know what we are going to get out of him every night, along with skill he will inject energy into our line up with how he plays, he is the type of player I think our fans in the Border City are really going to enjoy” stated Bobcats GM & Head Coach Nigel Dube.
