Lloydminster, AB ? The Lloydminster Bobcats continue to form the roster for the 2020-21 season and are excited to announce the signing of Matthew Swanson from the Lloydminster Inland Steel U-18 team. The village of Czar product has played his elite hockey beginning with the Bantam AAA Heat in 2017-18, then a season with the Rohan Rage U-16 before finishing the past season with the Inland Steel U-18. The six-foot, one hundred and sixty-five pound forward scored 15 goals and added 13 assists for 28 points on the season, finishing third in team scoring. In his three years in the Lloydminster Elite system he has produced 54 goals.

Lloydminster Head Coach and General Manager Nigel Dube is excited to be able to add another local to the roster. ?Matthew affiliated this season with us; many times in hockey you hear about the process to get to the next level and this is an example of that. Matthew went through the camp process with us last season, followed by preseason and then affiliation with us and practiced at any time it worked in his schedule. We continued great communication with the family and are excited to be adding the Swanson family to the Bobcat organization this season.? The Bobcats continue to add to the foundation on the offensive side of the game with the addition of Swanson and his ability to score goals. ?He has the offensive IQ and skill we are looking to add to our roster. He has a very quiet personality but goes about his business and puts the extra work in without being asked; those are values we strive for as an organization? finished Dube.

The entire Bobcats organization would like to welcome the Swanson family to the team!
