Bobcats Sign Tanner Mack

Lloydminster, AB- The Lloydminster Bobcats are excited to announce they have signed Tanner Mack of East Grand Forks to a Letter of Intent for the 2019-20. This season Mack put up 18 goals and 19 assists in the Minnesota High School Hockey League, leading his team in points during 25 games. In three games during the prestigious Minnesota State Tournament which is held at the Excel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota Mack scored 3 times as the Green Wave fell in the semi-final game. “Tanner is going to have an immediate impact in our lineup when we start the season, I think he is a player fans are going to be excited to see! He has the ability to score goals, thinks the game, and plays with a lot of energy” said Head Coach and General Manager Nigel Dube.
Mack’s commitment to the Bobcats also shows the importance of the organization having trustworthy recruitment staff in the United States. Bobcats Director of U.S. scouting Cory Lonke had identified Mack early to the Cats’ bench boss who was able to watch him at the State tournament. “Tanner brings a lot of skill and size in the middle of the rink for us. He plays a junior style game already and we plan on being a big part of his development into a college hockey player. He trusted the process and came up to our prospects camp where he performed to an undeniable level. The fans are already excited about what he can bring to the Bobcats,” commented Lonke. Fans who caught action at the Civic Center during the Prospects Camp would remember Mack wearing his green gear.
The Bobcats organization would like to welcome Tanner and the entire Mack family to Lloydminster! “We’ve had the opportunity to meet some of his family and all background checks spoke very highly of the family, to say the least, we are excited!” finished Dube.
