Bobcats trade Dechaine

The Lloydminster Bobcats have traded goaltender Josh Dechaine to the La Ronge Ice Wolves of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League in exchange for future considerations.

“We would like to wish Josh the best of luck in La Ronge,” said Head Coach and GM Travis Clayton. “Acquiring Austin from Spruce Grove gave us a bit of a surplus in that department so this deal is something that benefits everyone.”

Dechaine was acquired in a  five-player trade that saw (D) Nick Quillan and (G) Pierce Diamond head to Whitecourt for (F) Cory Santoro, (D) Jamieson Ree and Dechaine.

Earlier this offseason the Bobcats signed goaltender Parker Tobin and traded for hometown netminder Austin McGrath.

Main Camp opens this Friday at 7 p.m., with the annual Black VS White game Sunday August 28th at 7:30 p.m.
