Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats headed out on a rare mid-week road trip to take on the Drayton Valley Thunder Tuesday evening before heading over to Whitecourt to take on the Wolverines on Wednesday night.

Tuesday’s game saw Jett Kozman score his first Alberta Junior Hockey League goal of the season in his second game back returning from injury, Kade Fendelet scored twice, and Ben Aucoin had a goal and two assists while Sebastian Resar made 40 saves as the Bobcats rolled over the Thunder by a score of 5-1.

On Wednesday in Whitecourt, it was a penalty kill specialty night for the Bobcats as they were shorthanded 11 times, going one hundred percent on the kill while Jack Solomon made 36 saves! Blake Setter played the overtime hero as he scored his second goal of the game for the Bobcats to win both games this season in Whitecourt!

The goaltending duo made 76 saves and the penalty kill goes 15 for 16 to secure a big four points on the road!

The next home action is Sunday afternoon when the Drayton Valley Thunder return to the Civic Centre for a 2:30PM puck drop! Following the game on Sunday it is skate with the Bobcats, all participants must wear a helmet when on the ice, bring your skates on Sunday!
