Brewster Traded to La Ronge to Complete Future Consideration

The Lloydminster Bobcats have traded ’98 F Tanner Brewster to the La Ronge Ice Wolves to complete a previously owed future consideration.

Brewster was signed by the Bobcats prior to the 2016-17 season after putting up 18 goals and 12 assists for 30 points in 42 games with the Battlefords Midget AAA Stars last season. The Regina, SK native has appeared in six games with the Bobcats this year.

“Unfortunately this wasn’t something we had a lot of control over,” said Bobcats Head Coach and General Manager Travis Clayton. “We owed La Ronge a player from a trade a couple seasons ago, and Tanner was the one selected to go. He’s going to be a good junior player and we wish him the best.”

The future consideration owed to La Ronge stemmed from a 2014 trade that saw Michael Cardinal and the future player moved to the Ice Wolves in exchange for Allan MacPherson.

The Bobcats would like to thank Tanner for his contributions to the organization, and wish him the best moving forward.
