Devin Green Sets Franchise Record

The Lloydminster Bobcats would like to congratulate 20 year old goaltender Devin Green for his recent accomplishment of becoming the franchise’s all-time leader for Career Shutouts with 5. The record was previously held by Tom Gillard (00-02), Tyler Briggs (09-12), and Chase Martin (11-13), but with a 20 save performance, 2-0 win over the Canmore Eagles this past weekend at the AJHL Surge Energy Showcase, Devin secured himself as the outright leader with 5.
Green, a Calgary native, played his Midget AAA with the Calgary Northstars before making the jump to the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Green spent time with the Okotoks Oilers before being acquired by the Bobcats in a trade back in November of 2012. Devin is in his third season with the Bobcats and has played in 68 games with the team posting a 32-21-7 record.  Green is also close to another franchise record, as he is 20 games shy of Tom Gillard’s record for most games played by a goaltender with 88 set from 2000-2002.
Best of luck Devin and congratulations on the record!
