Bobcats Extend Partnership with Elite Hockey

The Lloydminster Bobcats and the Lloydminster Elite Hockey Division are excited to continue their growing partnership, with the Bobcats to oversee skill development, goalie development, and coach mentorship.

The 2025-26 season marks the fourth consecutive year of collaboration between the Bobcats and the Elite Division, “We are really looking forward to our fourth year working with the Elite Hockey Division in Lloydminster” said Bobcats General Manager Nigel Dube. “With changes to the Elite board and a new direction we are happy to work with them along with coaches and elites to optimize their strengths and achieve their goals.”

Jamie Walker, President of the Lloydminster Elite Hockey Division, emphasized the continued focus on development. “We are very excited to continue the player skill and coach development program for two more years with the Jr.A Bobcats. Having a partnership with a local community-oriented Jr.A hockey team makes a lot of sense and having the skill set of the Bobcats coaches and management helping our players improve is an amazing advantage to our program” he said.

The Bobcat and Lancer partnership is built on community connection, stronger collaboration, and shared goals. Throughout the season, Bobcats staff will be consistently on the ice with both the male and female teams, providing hands-on support and valuable resources to the coaching staffs.

“We’ve learnt a great deal over the past three years” added Dube. “We’re committed to supporting youth hockey in Lloydminster and making it as successful as possible at every level. We believe the structural changes going forward will benefit everyone and reinforce our ongoing commitment to community.”

The Lloydminster Elite Hockey Division has officially begun I.D. skates this May, with coaching staff already in place for the 2025-26 season. The partnership will kick off with summer coaching mentorship, leading into fall tryouts and goal setting for each team.
