GAME DAY: Bobcats Look to Weather Storm at Civic Centre

With the four-game losing skid now in the rear-view mirror, the Lloydminster Bobcats (8-4-1) will now look to begin a winning streak Tuesday night when they host the Grand Prairie Storm (9-4-2). Tuesday’s game will be the first of a three-game homestand for the Cats, as they look to feed off of their home crowd and begin their climb up the Viterra North Division standings. It will now be easy though, the Storm come into the contest winners of three straight games. You can hear all of the action live on Real Country 95.9 with the pre-game show beginning at 7:15.

Heading In: Captain Kaiser’s OT Winner Puts Cats Back in Win Column

Stuck in a four-game losing skid, Zach Kaiser decided enough was enough Saturday night at the Casman Centre. The Bobcat’s captain scored twice including the overtime winner as Lloydminster downed the Oil Barons 3-2 in extra time. Out-shooting the Oil Barons 6-1 in OT, the Cats finished with a 34-31 advantage in the shot department. With the power-play both teams finished 0 for 6. Starting in goal, Cale Elder made 29 saves in the victory. Ryley Hogan had the Bobcat’s other goal, his third of the season.

Head to Head

Tuesday night will mark the first meeting of the season between the Lloydminster Bobcats and the Grand Prairie Storm. Last year, Grand Prairie won twice at home over the Bobcats and twice in Lloydminster to take the season series 4-2, outscoring the Cats 25-16. The Storm will be back in Lloydminster on November 14th when these two teams square off for the second time.

Bromhead Set to Make Home Debut

After being acquired by the Bobcats late last week, Logan Bromhead will get to suit up as a Bobcat at the Civic Centre for the first time on Tuesday. The 99-born forward from Coquitlam, BC made his Bobcats debut in Fort McMurray, and tallied a pair of assists over the weekend, including the helper on Zach Kaiser’s overtime winner Saturday night. Coming from the Olds Grizzlys, Bromhead posted 11 goals and 19 assists in his rookie season last year.
