Heading In: Cats Can’t Hold on in OT Loss to Camrose
Despite holding a lead in the third period, the Bobcats were unable to hold on Monday afternoon in a 4-3 OT loss to the Camrose Kodiaks. Lloydminster led the game 2-1 and 3-2, but for the second time this season wound up suffering an overtime loss to the Kodiaks. Zach Kaiser, Tucker Scantlebury and Shawn Harke had the Bobcats goals, while Daniel Hilsendager added a pair of assists. Bailey Brkin made 28 saves for Lloydminster in the loss.

Head to Head
Tonight will mark the fifth of six meetings this season between the two North Division squads. The first three of the season series went to the Crusaders, with one of the those wins coming in a shoot-out. However, in their most recent meeting, Kobe Walker netted a hat-trick and an assist in front of 1400 LPSD students in a 4-1 Cats victory. With the Bobcats currently sitting just three points back of the Crusaders for 5th in the North, tonight’s game will go a long way in determining how the playoff picture will shape up.

Kobe Catches Kris
With 62 points this season, Lloydminster’s own Kobe Walker has caught his current Assistant Coach and another one of Lloydminster’s own, Kris Wiebe’s best single-season mark. Playing for the Blazers in 00/01, Wiebe tallied 62 points, which Walker will now look to pass. After a slow start to the season, which saw Kobe tally just three points in his first nine games, he has since put up 59 points over the last 46 games. This will be Walker’s final season with the Cats after committing to RIT earlier this season.
