Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats are thrilled to announce the signing of 2008 born forward Ty Hynes from the Southern Alberta Hockey Academy in the CSSHL! Hynes, a native of Dunmore, Alberta stands at 6 feet tall and 165 pounds. Last season he scored 13 goals and 21 assists in 36 games while adding 5 assists in 4 playoff games.
Lloydminster Bobcats Assistant General Manager Andrew Gilbert commented, “Ty is a player that we had an opportunity to watch lots throughout the season playing with a strong program at the Southern Alberta Hockey Academy in Medicine Hat. He is a player that will bring a lot of creativity and skill to our forward group. Ty thinks the game at a high level which allows him to create time and space to consistently generate offence. With graduating a number of forwards this year, we were looking to add some more skill up front, and we believe we have started to do that with the signing of Ty. We spoke with Ty’s coach on multiple occasions, and he spoke highly of his character and passion for the game, which is something we love to hear in Lloydminster.”
