The Lloydminster Bobcats are excited to announce the singing of 2002-born forward Jordan Borysiuk.
From Mannville, Albert, Borysiuk spent last season as well as 17 games this season with the Lloydminster Midget ‘AAA’ Bobcats averaging over a point per game. He also played six games with the Red Deer Rebels of the WHL last year.
In his 42 games with the Midget ‘AAA’ Bobcats, the 5’10”, 165lbs forward tallied 28 goals and 17 assists (45 points).
“As an organization we can’t wait to get Jordan in here with our group,” said Bobcats Head Coach/GM Nigel Dube. “He has an offensive upside to his game we are looking to inject into our line-up. He has also been developed in our backyard with our local Midget AAA team which is our plan to have local players wanting to stay in town to be a part of what we are building here now.”
“There will be an adjustment period for him coming in as a 16-year old in the league, but we are very confident in his ability and his hockey sense that he will be quick to learn.”
Borysiuk will wear jersey #22 when he makes his Bobcat's debut.
Coming off of a hard fought 3-2 loss in Bonnyville on Wednesday, the Bobcats will continue their season Saturday night when they host the Calgary Canucks on Teddy Bear Toss night at the Civic Centre.
It will also be Community Give Back weekend for the Bobcat’s. Boundary Ford will be at the rink all weekend with a truck for donations of winter clothing (gently used/new), boots, shoes, etc. The Cats will also be accepting donations to purchase pre-packed food bags through the Lloydminster and District Co-op to help every have a happy holiday season.
