Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats are excited to welcome back Kaiden Kirkwood for the 2024-25 season! Last season Kirkwood split time between the Lloydminster Bobcats and Waywayseecappo Wolverines. In 25 games with the Wolverines Kirkwood posted 3.49 goals against average and a .904 save percentage.
The 20-year-old netminder will bring experience to the crease, “with our returning players and new recruits coming in we are very excited about this group. Adding an quality experience goalie like Kirkwood was important to us, he knows our organization and community, we know the high level character kid he is!” stated Bobcats General Manager Nigel Dube. “We anticipate a very high level of competition from day one of camp starting with our veteran players, there are very high expectations for this season, and we are going to lean on our players with that experience, Kirkwood will add that in the net for us” added Dube.
The Lloydminster Bobcats will open main camp on August 23rd in the farewell season to the Centennial Civic Centre! Games will be played on Friday and Saturday at 4:00PM before Sunday’s All-Star Game at 12:00PM.
