Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats are excited to announce the hiring of Chris Leeming as Assistant Coach!

Leeming joins the Bobcats after spending the past four seasons as Head Coach of the MacEwan University Griffins Women’s Hockey Team in USPORTS. Prior to his time at MacEwan, he spent five seasons as Head Coach of the Olds College Broncos Women’s Hockey Team in the ACAC.

Leeming brings nearly a decade of collegiate head coaching experience to the Border City and will join Head Coach Matt Brassard and the Bobcats coaching staff as preparations continue for the upcoming season.

“Having the opportunity to join the Bobcats organization is truly exciting for me, as I have heard nothing but great things about the community support and the people involved. The two pieces that Nigel and Matt shared that impressed me the most were the importance of developing these young men as people to help them achieve their goals, and the vision for a championship culture.

I believe these two things go hand in hand, as it is important to have people committed to doing the right things the right way. I believe I will be able to make a strong contribution, as this approach is deeply aligned with my coaching philosophy.

I am looking forward to learning and growing with everyone in this organization and am eager to begin the season together,” commented Leeming.
