Lloydminster Bobcats 2nd Annual Hockey Hooky Day

The Lloydminster Bobcats are excited to be hosting a unique experience for kids to have the field trip of the year and watch hockey in the middle of the day! Tomorrow the Second Annual Hockey Hooky Day presented by the Fred North Foundation, will have students on the edge of their seats as they will experience the excitement of an AJHL game, during school hours!

The Bobcats are teaming up with schools from both inside and outside Lloydminster to welcome 1400 students into the Civic Center! The game begins at 12 noon on Wednesday October 17th, against the Sherwood Park Crusaders.  This is a regular season game for the Bobcats so we hope the atmosphere in the building will help us get a win!

Schools participating this year are the elementary schools in the Lloydminster Public School Division, Sans-Frontieres, Kitscoty, Marwayne, Marshall, Lashburn, Hillmond and Dewberry.

This is an experience that the kids won’t soon forget!  We’d like to thank our sponsors for making this game a huge success!  First to our naming sponsor the Fred North Charitable Foundation, and second to our other major partners, Bandit Energy, Garrison Oilwell Servicing, Gold Horse Casino and Synergy Credit Union. Without their support we wouldn’t be able to invite so many kids into the arena to enjoy some Bobcats Hockey!

The general public is welcome to join us for the game, however it will be standing room only as the kids are going to be filling all the seats.  The cost will be $10/person at the door.  Season ticket holders are also welcome to come to the game, however your seat will be occupied by a student and it will be standing room only for you as well.
We look forward to seeing you all at the rink!
