The Lloydminster Bobcats have released ’97-born forward Wilson Northey (North Vancouver, BC) ahead of the 2017-18 season.
Northey joined the Bobcats in 2016-17 after spending the 2015-16 season with the Kamloops Storm of the Kootenay International Hockey League. The 5’11”, 181 lb centre stepped right into a key role with the team, taking important face offs and killing penalties while chipping in with 14 points over 50 games played.
In addition to his on ice contributions, Northey took on a leadership role with the team and led a great example for his teammates in the dressing room and in the community.
The Bobcats would like to thank Wilson and his family for their contributions to the organization both on and off ice over the past year, and wish him all the best moving forward.
