RECAP: Cats Take Two of Three Over Weekend Swing

After suffering a tough loss to the Calgary Canucks, the Lloydminster Bobcats head back home with four of a possible six points from a weekend swing through the Viterra AJHL South Division.

Playing an afternoon game after a Saturday night contest in Olds, the Bobcats found nothing going their way against the Canucks, who scored two in the first, four in the second, and one in the third period to skate to a 7-0 win.

Despite the lopsided outcome today, Lloydminster heads into the week just three points out of a playoff spot in the North Division, trailing the Grande Prairie Storm and Drayton Valley Thunder. The Thunder have one game in hand on the Bobcats, while the Cats have one in hand on the Storm.

On Tuesday, the Bobcats will head in to Bonnyville to complete the season series against the Pontiacs before returning home for a huge pair of home games against the Storm on Friday and Saturday, that will go a long way towards deciding who gets into the playoffs and who will be left on the outside.
