Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats are excited to announce they have made two separate roster moves this week.
First, the Lloydminster Bobcats acquired Ben Costantino from the Elmira Aviators, Costantino’s rights were originally acquired in the trade with the Humboldt Broncos deal for Orin Olson. The St. Albert, Alberta product had registered 10 goals and 12 assists in 27 games in the North American Hockey League, last season with the Humboldt Broncos he had 11 goals and 30 assists for 41 points in 50 games.
“We are thrilled to be adding Ben to our group, he is a big body that has a lot of offensive upsides to his game and defends very well at 6’4”. He compliments the defensive core and we are excited to have Jeff and Matt continue to develop his game” stated Bobcats General Manager Nigel Dube.
Secondly, the Lloydminster Bobcats have signed goaltender Gabe Otis. Otis split time between the Rochester Grizzlies and the Aberdeen Wings this season. In 6 games he’s posted a 1.50GAA and .940 save percentage.
“We are excited to add Gabe, he comes from an area we are very familiar with in our goaltenders over the years and are excited to have him in the Border City. Our goalie coach Sheldon Goertzen will be able help continue his development and growth in the AJHL” added Dube.
The Lloydminster Bobcats would like to welcome Ben and Gabe to the Border City! Check them out this Friday night at the Centennial Civic Centre!
