Unsung Hero for January

A big congratulations goes out to Goaltender Devin Green, who has been announced as the Cliff Rose for Clothes ‘Unsung Hero’ for the month of January. Devin was a key contributor for the Bobcats in the month of January. He started 8 of the Bobcats 10 games in the month, which saw him post a 3-4-1 record with a 2.72 goals against average and a .919 save percentage. Green was tremendous in the crease for the ‘Cats and gave them an opportunity to win in each of his starts. Four of his losses were decided by one goal (Calgary Canucks 3-2 SOL, Brooks Bandits 3-2 L) while losses to Okotoks 2-0 and Whitecourt 3-1 saw each team net an empty net insurance goal.

As the recipient of the award, Devin (pictured with Owner Dave Schneider’s daughter Amanda) receives a $200 in store credit to Cliff Rose for Clothes.
Green hails from Calgary, Alberta and is in his last year of eligibility with the Lloydminster Bobcats. Standing at 6’2 and 170 pounds, Green has had a breakout year thus far, posting career numbers in Wins (20), Shutouts (5), Save Percentage (.911) and Goals Against Average (2.33) as well as breaking Bobcat goaltending records with 9 career shutouts, and 103 games played by a goaltender.  The 20 year old hopes to secure a post-secondary scholarship as well as continue his hockey career at the next level.
