Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats are excited to announce Jeff Woywitka will return to the organization in 2023-24 as the Associate Head Coach and Skill Development. Woywitka joined the club in the second half following last season’s Christmas break as Associate & Skills Coach.
Woywitka was a major factor in the success the organization saw in the new year. “Jeff came into our organization and had an immediate impact on our players, we saw significant improvement with our defensive core, and he had a lot to do with that” stated General Manager Nigel Dube. Woywitka has experience in the Alberta Junior Hockey League in the growth of players and having an impact on them advancing to the next level. “He has the track record which proves his ability to develop and move players on to the next level, we believe having Jeff with us from day one this season is really going to benefit our players and organization. It is evident with our players how much they enjoy Jeff and how he cares about them as people” added Dube.
Woywitka is from Vermillion, AB and is referred to as a local by many in the Border City appreciating his impact on the ice and in the community since joining the club “I am excited to continue to help the Lloydminster Bobcats program on and off the ice. I enjoy the people in the community and the players we work with, the goal is to develop and get the most out of our players so they can reach their full potential!” commented Woywitka.
The Bobcats have taken a big step forward framing the hockey operations ahead of the 2023-24 season and players will be impacted by the work of Brad Rihela, Jeff Woywitka, and Sheldon Goertzen in their development. “This has been a vision of the organization since the rebuild began in 2018, we believe this enhancement will lead to an increase in player advancement and winning!” finished Dube.
