Devon Lafreniere joined the Bobcats broadcast on 95.9 Lloyd FM back in December 2015 to talk about his experiences as a junior hockey player.
Lafreniere was acquired by the Lloydminster Blazers from the Grande Prairie Storm, and then spent three seasons in the Border City. He wore the captain's “C” for two seasons, and put up over 70 points over the course of those two years.
Since leaving hockey, Lafreniere has become an RCMP Officer, and currently works in Fort Saskatchewan. Recently, he was on hand along with former teammate Aaron Gervais as the colour guard during the opening ceremonies of the 2016 RBC Cup.
“I gained a lot of experience there (in Lloydminster) and it was great for me. We didn't do very good in the standings per se, but I really enjoyed my time and met a lot of good people and friends that I'm still close to to this day.”
