Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats are excited to announce the signing of 2006 forward Daniel Zhou from the Richmond Sockeyes of the PIJHL for the 2024-25 season!
Last season with the Sockeyes Zhou scored 17 goals and added 29 assists for 46 points in 42 games. During 16 playoff games he tallied 4 goals and 7 assists. Zhou will add to the Bobcats offensive group next season. Director of Player Personnel Andrew Gilbert comments on Zhou signing with the Bobcats, “Daniel was a player that came on our radar early in the season. Daniel is a hard-working player with the ability to consistently generate offensive changes for not only himself, but also his teammates. We really like the fact that as a 2006 born player he has already played a year of junior against older players, so we believe he can come in and contribute to our line up in a variety of ways.” Zhou’s experience on the ice will be welcomed along with his off-ice character, “talking to with Daniel’s previous coaches, they spoke very highly of his competitiveness and his high character on and off the ice” added Gilbert.
