Cooper Moore Commits to Augustana University NCAA Division 1

Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats of the AJHL are proud to announce forward Cooper Moore has committed to the Augustana University Vikings NCAA Division I.

The Red Deer, Alberta native stands at 5’7” and 145 pounds has scored 11 goals and added 22 assists for 33 points in 26 games, he currently leads the Bobcats in points and is 5th in the AJHL in points, 3rd amongst rookies. “We are very excited for Cooper and the Moore family on a deserving commitment to a great program. Cooper embodies what it means to be a Bobcat on and off the ice, it has been exciting to watch his development and growth as a player since being in the border city” stated Bobcats General Manager Nigel Dube. Moore is currently in his first year with the Bobcats and the AJHL. “He adds a lot of offense to our group but can play up and down the line up. His hard work, dedication, and commitment to be better every day is being rewarded. Coach Raboin and the entire staff at Augustana will love what Coop will bring to their program” added Dube.

Moore had this to say on his commitment, “it’s a dream come true to commit to play NCAA Division 1 hockey for Augustana, I would like to thank everyone that has supported and believed in me along the way. I’m honored to have this opportunity as I continue my hockey career.”

The Lloydminster Bobcats currently sit third in the north division with a record of 16-11-1-3 and will resume the second half schedule on January 3rd at home against the Grande Prairie Storm, puck drop is 7:00PM at the Centennial Civic Centre.
