Ben Aucoin (2004) recorded his 28th assist of the season on February 13th in a 4-2 loss to the league leading Whitecourt Wolverines. On February 17th, he posted a career-high five-point game with four goals, including his fifth game winner of the season, and an assist in a 9-1 final versus the Olds Grizzlys. Aucoin was awarded as the Viterra AJHL Player of the Game for the sixth time in the 2023-24 campaign.
With 54 points (25G, 29A) in 53 games played, Ben is tied for fourth in the AJHL Scoring Race and has far surpassed his point total of 32 from the 2022-23 season.
Bobcats teammate Ryan Redekopp is the AJHL Defensive Player of the Week after adding four points over two games and extending his active point streak to five games and seven points.
Redekopp (2003) added an assist on February 13th versus Whitecourt and three assists in the win over Olds on February 17th. The right-shot defenceman has doubled his point total from last season with 28 points (4G, 24A) in 45 games and is sixth overall among AJHL defencemen.
