Coming into Tuesday night, the United States were riding a tournament record 14-game winning streak at the World Jr. A Challenge, but Noah Bauld, Troy Van Tetering, and the rest of Team Canada West knocked off the Americans 3-2 and earned a spot in the tournament's semifinal with an undefeated round robin.
Tonight, Canada West will face their Canadian counterparts out of the east, with a berth in Saturday's gold medal championship on the line. Bauld registered a shorthanded goal and was a factor in his team's second goal on Tuesday night against Team USA, while Van Tetering notched an assist in game one and has been stellar in two games on the wing so far.
