Bobcats acquire Nolan Carothers from Calgary

Lloydminster Bobcats' Head Coach and General Manager Travis Clayton announced today that the team has acquired 20-year-old Nolan Carothers from the Calgary Canucks in exchange for future considerations.

“We would like to welcome Nolan to the team. I know everyone on the coaching staff is excited to have a veteran presence like his joining our squad,” said Clayton.

A native of Castle Rock, Colorado, Carothers initially headed north to try his luck with the Fort McMurray Oil Barons before finding a roster spot with the Canucks.

In two seasons in Calgary, Carothers had 10 goals and 22 assists in 114 regular season games.  The 6'1'', 190 lb defenceman will be a welcome addition to a young Bobcats squad.
