Lloydminster Bobcats head coach and GM, Travis Clayton, has announced today that the team has acquired (‘97) defenceman Aaron Kellogg from the Dauphin Kings of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) in exchange for ('98) defenceman Dawson Bacon.
Kellogg is heading into his second season in Canadian Junior A hockey. In 2015-16, Kellogg split time between the Kings and the Melfort Mustangs of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. In 33 games for Dauphin last season, Kellogg scored five goals and five assists for 10 points.
Prior to last season, Kellogg played with his hometown Fort Saskatchewan Midget AAA Rangers. In three seasons with the Rangers, the 5'10'', 200 pound blue liner registered 35 points.
Bacon signed with the Bobcats this season and appeared in two games after playing with the Battlefords Midget AAA Stars last season.
The Bobcats would like to thank Dawson for his commitment to the organization, and wish him all the best in his future.
