Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats are excited to announce the signing of 2004 born Roman Cherniak of the South Alberta Hockey Academy U18 Prep for the 2021-22 season. Cherniak, a native of Medicine Hat, AB posted 2 goals in 5 games this season with the SAHA. During the 2019-20 season with the Northern Alberta Elite 15s Cherniak posted 11 goals and 21 assists while having 27 penalty minutes.
The six-foot, one hundred and sixty-five-pound forward is known for his offensive ability, skilled play, and eye for finding the net will add to the Bobcats forward group for next season. Bobcats Director of Player Personnel Andrew Gilbert states “Roman is a player we have been recruiting since last year. The first thing that jumped out to our staff was his willingness to compete all over the ice and his ability to produce offense. As we got to know Roman overtime, we were blown away with his commitment to the game of hockey with his extensive off ice routine. We are excited to have Roman signed and look forward to him being in a Bobcats jersey next season!”
