The Lloydminster Bobcats have traded 19-year-old defenceman Jamieson Ree to the Weyburn Red Wings of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) in exchange for future considerations.
“Being able to acquire new talent down the road will enable us to keep being competitive and put together the best on-ice product possible,” said Head Coach and GM Travis Clayton.
Ree was acquired by the Cats in the offseason from Whitecourt as part of a five-player trade. In 20 games Ree had a goal and an assist for 2 points and 30 penalty minutes. Weyburn has played 28 games in the SJHL this season and with 31 points, sit fifth in SJHL standings.
The Bobcats would like to thank Jamieson and his family for their contribution to the franchise and wish them all the best in the future.
