Bobcats Sign Screpnek

Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats are excited to announce the signing of 2006 born forward Kael Screpnek of the Calgary Royals U18AAA for the 2024-25 season!

The Calgary, Alberta native stands at 6’2” and 165 pounds where he amassed 8 goals and 20 assists in 36 regular season games while adding 85 penalty minutes. The two hundred foot hard to play against forward also added 1 goal and 3 assists in 2 playoff games for the Royals. “Kael is a player that has come through the process by starting with us last season. Kael is a 200-foot player that played in all situations this season. Kael competes hard in all three zones and does a great job at using his size, IQ, and vision to generate offensive chances for not only himself, but also his teammates” described Bobcats Director of Player Personnel Andrew Gilbert. “Kael is a great person that will be a welcomed addition to not only our program, but also the community of Lloydminster” finished Gilbert.

Screpnek will join the offensive group next season and looks forward to the opportunity, “I’m very excited to be joining the Lloydminster Bobcats! I look forward to contributing both on and off the ice!” an excited Screpnek commented! The Lloydminster Bobcats organization would like to welcome Kael and the Screpnek family to the Border City!

Next up for the Bobcats is Prospects Camp from April 5-7 at the Centennial Civic Centre followed by Futures Camp April 12-14. Both camps are open to the public as the future of the Bobcats takes to the ice!
