Shane Switzer Commits to Boston University

The Lloydminster Bobcats are proud to announce that 1995 born Defencemen Shane Switzer has committed to attend and play for Boston University.  The ‘Terriers’ are members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division 1 level and play out of the Hockey East Association.   The Terriers are one of the most storied programs at the Division 1 level, where they have made 21 visits to the ‘Frozen Four’, while winning the NCAA Division 1 National Championship 5 times.

Switzer, is a smooth puck moving defencemen from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and was acquired by the Bobcats on January 8, 2015 from the Brooks Bandits. Once acquired, Switzer suited up in 17 regular season games with the Bobcats where he was a key contributor for the teams push to finish in 2nd place for the North Division. Switzer recorded 2 goals, 14 assists for 16 points along with 20 penalty minutes.  In the 2015 AJHL playoffs, Switzer has recorded 3 goals, 4 assists for 7 points through 6 games played. During Switzer’s time in the AJHL, he has suited up in 52 regular season games, recording 8 goals, 26 assists for 34 points.
