Bobcats Complete Trade With Cowichan Valley Capitals

The Lloydminster Bobcats have acquired '98 defenceman Jacob Keremidschieff from the Cowichan Valley Capitals of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), in exchange for future considerations.

“He is a fast intelligent defenceman who can push the puck up the ice and create offensive chances,” said head coach and General Manager Travis Clayton. “We expect him (Jacob) to be an integral part of our defensive corps.”

Keremidschieff is in his first full season playing Canadian Junior A hockey. Through 31 BCHL games in 2016-17, Keremidschieff picked up a goal and six penalty minutes. Before joining Cowichan the 5',10'', 180 pound defenceman played in the Delta Hockey Academy preparatory system. In 2015-16 Keremidschieff helped the Capitals win the Canadian Sport School Hockey League Championship while registering six goals and 19 assists for 25 points in 36 games.

The Bobcats would like to welcome Jacob and the rest of his family to the city of Lloydminster. Fans can catch Keremidschief this wednesday when he makes his debut with the Bobcats against Sherwood Park at the Centennial Civic Centre at 7:30 pm.
