RECAP: Bobcats Bounce Back with 4-2 Win Over Thunder

The Lloydminster Bobcats got back in the win column tonight, snapping a seven-game losing skid with a 4-2 victory over Drayton Valley at the Civic Centre.

Newly acquired forward Rob Johnson endeared himself to Bobcats fans with a goal and an assist in the game, Zach Kaiser scored a goal and added a pair of assists, Chasetan Braid knocked home the game winner with less than a minute to play, Kobe Walker salted the win off with an empty net goal in the dying seconds, and Jeremy Kelleway turned aside 29 of 31 shots for his third AJHL victory.

11:25 into the game, Johnson tucked his first as a Bobcat to put the home team ahead 1-0.

Less than a minute later, Zach Kaiser put home a rebound off of a Nolan Carothers shot to make it 2-0 Bobcats.

The Bobcats kept their 2-0 lead through forty minutes of play, and held the shot advantage 19-17 after two.

In the third, the Thunder pushed back with a pair of goals to knot the game at 2-2, setting the stage for Braid's dramatic winner.

Walker tagged an empty netter in the dying seconds to seal the game.
