Bralin Technology Solutions Game Recap
The Lloydminster Bobcats hosted the Drayton Valley Thunder on Friday night in the annual Pink in the Rink night sponsored by Lloydminster & District Co-op and Canadian Natural Resources Ltd.. Ben Aucoin stayed hot as he scored twice including the opening goal of the first period, Caden Steinke recorded two goals on the night as well including the empty netter. Caden Cabana recorded three assists and Ryan Redekopp had a pair. Alessio Nardelli has a goal and assist while Aidan LaRose scored his first as a Bobcat! Jack Solomon made 36 saves. Special teams the Bobcats scored 4 times on 10 opportunities and the Thunder scored 1 time with 7 opportunities.
Saturday night the Bobcats played their last regular season road game in Camrose against the Kodiaks. After going down by four quick the Bobcats came back with Aucoin and Steinke each netting another pair of goals with Luke Fritz adding a single goal. Cabana and Blake Setter both recording a pair of assists. Setter was the loan player to score in the shootout and win it for the Bobcats.
With the two wins on the weekend the Lloydminster Bobcats have a pair of games this weekend, Friday once again taking on the Drayton Valley Thunder and Saturday the Whitecourt Wolverines come to town.
The Bobcats will open the playoffs at home March 15th and hold home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Playoff ticket information will be released later this week!
