The Lloydminster Bobcats wish to congratulate Connor Odelein on his recent commitment to play CIS Hockey at the University of Regina.
'Ody' served as the Bobcat's captain the past two seasons, while also playing a role in Lloydminster's run to a second-place finish at the 2016 RBC Cup.
The Quill Lake, SK product spent his entire AJHL career with the Bobcats, accumulating 16 goals and 22 assists over 143 regular season games. He also had a goal and an assist in 14 career playoff games.
“You won't ever find a harder worker or more of a team player than Connor Odelein,” said Bobcats Head Coach and GM Travis Clayton. “Having the privilege to coach Connor these past two seasons, I can honestly tell you he is a coach's dream. He'll do everything he possibly can to help the team in any possible way.”
Prior to joining the Bobcats, Odelein played in Swift Current with the Midget 'AAA' Legionnaires.
“Personally, and on behalf of the Bobcat's organization, I want to thank Connor for everything he has done for this team, and this city,” said Bobcat's President Brent Mohrbutter. “No matter what the situation, Connor always came to the rink, and gave this team everything he had. He's certainly leaving behind some big shoes to fill.”
