Lloydminster Bobcats Name Chase Haygarth Assistant Coach
Lloydminster, AB – The Lloydminster Bobcats are pleased to announce the addition of local product Chase Haygarth as Assistant Coach ahead of the upcoming season.
Haygarth brings a strong passion for the game, a growing coaching résumé, and a commitment to player development that aligns with the Bobcats’ identity both on and off the ice.
“I’m very excited for the opportunity to coach with my hometown team,” said Haygarth. “I look forward to working with everyone in the organization as we strive to bring an AJHL championship to Lloydminster. I can’t wait to get the season started.”
An alumnus of 160 junior hockey games in the Canadian Junior Hockey League, including 101 in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, Haygarth continued his playing career at Red Deer Polytechnic in the ACAC, where he competed for four seasons.
Following his playing career, Haygarth transitioned behind the bench, most recently serving as Head Coach of the Lloydminster Lancers U15 AAA program. He has also been actively involved in player development within the community through his work with Twins Development.
“We are excited to welcome Chase to our coaching staff,” said General Manager Nigel Dube. “As an alumnus of our league and a former college player, he brings valuable experience and perspective that will resonate with our group. We’ve seen firsthand his ability to connect with players through our partnership initiatives and his work with our spring programs.”
Haygarth will join Head Coach Matt Brassard and the rest of the coaching staff as preparations continue for the upcoming AJHL season.
